P&H MinePro Services (part of the Joy Global Inc Company, P&H Mining Equipment) is a global leader in the manufacture and service of pace-setting large mining machines used to mine copper, coal, iron ore, silver, gold, diamonds, oil sands, phosphate, molybdenum, potash and other minerals and bedded materials. 90% of the world’s surface mines utilise P&H equipment.

The Australasian arm of the business, P&H MinePro Services, specialises in products and services supplying the mining and resources market with electric mining shovels, walking draglines, rotary blasthole drills, and associated mining equipment.

As part of its global SAP implementation, P&H MinePro needed to train several hundred staff across Brisbane, Perth, Hunter Valley and Mackay to complete the worldwide system delivery and deployment of SAP.

US based IT Manager of P&H MinePro Services, Kathy Rusch, along with Project Manager Jim Michalopoulos met with Cliftons to discuss the execution of the rollout, which took place from December 2006 to March 2007.

With a clear understanding of P&H MinePro’s requirements, Cliftons successfully facilitated the extensive rollout within Cliftons Brisbane and Perth Training Facilities and regionally at a partner venue in Mackay. Cliftons supplied and shipped equipment to the regional sites for remote access to P&H MinePro Services’ main SAP server via Citrix in the United States.
